How to Install prosody software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

prosody software package provides Lightweight Jabber/XMPP server, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install prosody

prosody is installed in your system.

Make ensure the prosody package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep prosody *

You will get with prosody package name, version, architecture and description in a table
